Abigail Ahern Bedroom

Pretty exciting news today peeps, i'm super chuffed to play a small part in the launch of Abigail Ahern's very own curation for Wayfair.

**does little dance**

Ms Ahern has personally selected a small selection of gems from Wayfair so you can create her iconic look at home.

Designer Abigail Ahern has been hailed as one of the most trend-setting names in interiors – a style disruptor with a fearless approach to home design. In her collaboration with Wayfair, Abigail's signature moody palette is given an earthy twist, with slick urban furniture meeting raw and rustic elements, eclectic accents and statement lighting, for a look that's packed full of character yet surprisingly affordable.

I've worked with Wayfair a couple of times already, which included curating my own selection in January 2016. They offer a mammoth selection of affordable homeware, all with free shipping, so perfect for an impulse purchase.

As part of the launch, Wayfair set me a challenge; to add more #AAHousecrush style to a room at home by selecting some key items from Abigail's curation of Wayfair products.

Some of my picks (from Abigail's picks)

Our most Ahern-esque room at home has to be our bedroom, which funnily enough was the room that bagged me a feature on Abigail's blog last January. Since then, i've painted the ceiling dark too, which initially scared the crap out of me, but now I love it. It's like a little bubble of calm and quiet in there. So, for this room update, as we're fast approaching autumn/winter, I selected items that would add texture and rustic, metallic detail to the mainly mid-century styled space.

Here goes:

Dark and moody with oodles of layering and texture

The monochrome, textured cushions work brilliantly to add detail and depth to the room without adding additional colour or pattern.

Two of my three wise owls. My son loves these and keeps asking what their names are. And then asking what they mean… and then we end up in a conversation i'm not quite ready to have with a four year old. But they are just perfect for some Halloween styling don't cha think?

Speak No Evil is on the other bedside…

Next to the three glass bottles which are perfect to pop around the house with cuttings. I currently have a spider plant that just keeps on giving… very fertile it is.

The lovely hairpin leg and rustic wood top side table (which you can also see in the first image from the Wayfair photoshoot at Abigail's home) is the perfect height for a simple bedside.

"I was inspired by the colours of the outback for this collection. Think dark and moody midnight tones with livening accents of burnt sienna and yellow ochre. Texture, pattern and lush botanicals are also key, as they give the space instant pizazz. Above all else it's about comfort, with pieces that tell a narrative, have an atmosphere and encourage you to linger longer."

But before you jet off, I'd also love to hear what you think of my bedroom update. Do you like my owls?

Post written in collaboration with Wayfair, but all words and opinions are my own. Always. I only ever work with brands I love and think you will love too.
